Christmas and New Drawings!

Well, Christmas has come and gone, and we had lots of fun with friends and family. The kidlets and I had a great time making a gingerbread house and baking sparkle cookies.





Then Santa stopped by...





and brought all kinds of good stuff!







A yummy dinner with our beautiful friends and family rounded out a really great holiday!

Somewhere in the midst of all of that, I finished three new drawings!

Beautiful Day

Woke up in a bad mood today, and it's followed me around for hours. So I decided that the best thing to do is sit down with my art journal and my markers and see what happened. Turns out, I created my own personal beautiful day. :)

Purple Flower Doodle

So, Monday was my birthday (being 30 makes me an official grown up now, doesn't it?) and my friend Jess bought me this gorgeous handmade sketchbook! I love it so so so much!



I finally got up the nerve to actually draw in it last night, after much agonizing over the idea that I might ruin the awesomeness that is the book by drawing in it. So here's my first doodle in my new book-



In other news, I'm finally nearing the end of the painting I've been working on (quite sporadically!) for the past few weeks. You can kind of see it in the background of the sketchbook pic. I'm hoping to be done with it this week! :)
