A Sketch a Day: Day 4

Today I wasn't feeling very colorful, so I went with a pencil sketch.

A Sketch a Day: Days 2 & 3

I've just started using colored Conte for the first time, so I'm still getting used to how it blends and how the colors work together. Even so, I was pretty happy with the way this sketch (Day 3) turned out:

I'm not really very happy with the way Day 2's sketch turned out. But, I can't love them all, right? Here it is anyway :P

A Sketch a Day: Day 1

I was inspired by my friend Jess's 365 Photography project, and decided to start a project of my own. I haven't been doing much drawing lately, because I haven't made it a priority. So, I decided to commit to doing at least one sketch every day for the rest of the year. I can't wait to see what kind of crazy stuff I draw! :P

Anyway, here's my sketch of the day, Mr. Caterpillar Guy:

Reflections by Jess Photography Logo

I created this logo for my good friend and fellow homeschooling mom Jess, who runs a fabulous photography business here in Knoxville. Jess specializes in newborn photography, and is also available for weddings and other events. If you need portraits done in the Knoxville area, give Reflections by Jess a call! :D

Fat Casual BBQ brand identity logo

Here is the logo I created for the same restaurant. I've really enjoyed working on stuff for them, because the name is so fun, and the restaurant concept is so great!!

Fat Casual BBQ graphic

Here's a graphic I made for a new Cleveland, Ohio BBQ restaurant called Fat Casual BBQ. They offer Ohio-style BBQ, slow smoked over hickory wood, and scratch-made sides and desserts made with local ingredients. Definitely check them out if you're in the Cleveland area!

Here is a great review of the restaurant, and when their website is up, I'll add the link!
